At Divorce Mediation Training Associates, we conduct a 40-hour divorce mediation training (over the course of 9 half days online or 5 days in person) and an 8 hour divorce law basics course (over the course of 2-half days online or 1 day in person).  We typically offer these trainings multiple times per year.

8-hour Divorce Law Basics:

  • Online: October 8-9 2025, 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM EDT – on Zoom
  • In-Person: July 7, 2026, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EDT – in Newton Upper Falls, MA 

40-hour Divorce Mediation training:

  • Online: October 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, & 30, 2025, 12:30 – 5:15 PM EDT – on Zoom 
  • In-Person: July 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 2025, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EDT – in Newton Upper Falls, MA 

TRAINING PRICING:

This 40 hour training satisfies Massachusetts Rule 8 training requirements for mediators.

  • 8-hour Divorce Law Basics training  – $400
  • 40-hour Divorce Mediation training – $1,900 (retake rate $995)
  • Both trainings together is a discounted $2,000.

FURTHER TRAINING INFORMATION:

We will be including significant role play opportunities throughout the training.  For online trainings, you will be required to provide your own hardware (computer, webcam, and microphone) and an internet connection to participate via Zoom webinar.  You will not need a Zoom account.

For online trainings, the Zoom link will be sent to all registrants who have submitted payment before the first day of the training. 

Make-Up Dates:  If you are unable to attend one of the sessions then we may be able to provide a video for one session.  If you are unable to attend multiple sessions then you will be required to make them up in the next session to receive a certificate of completion.

Refund policy:  Any cancellations less than seven days before the beginning of a training will be offered credit for future trainings only (no cash refunds within 7 days).  Any cancellation with greater than seven days notice will be refunded less any credit card fees incurred in processing payments.  In some instances we have had to cancel a training for low attendance (the training experience is best with a minimum of 6 class attendees), and if we cancel we will provide a full refund or registration at our next scheduled training.
